Don Pepe,

Como frijole usted? (How you bean?) I like those grips a lot! That's your wife's pistol right?

Ya know, we should take all your ivory grips, and Pat's stag grips, and set up a table at a PETA convention. Bet it might be fun...

Do you have anymore irovy grips in the works, or have you depleted your supply of used walrus parts?
Your guy at Hogue sure is a master craftsman. I think my favorites are the ones on your custom Gold Cup.
Thanks for the cool photos, Pepe.

Hi Mi Erlmano Burgs,

Yes I purchased that Firearm for my Wife and yes I have my .38 S&W J Model Cold Case Hardened Steel that's having a Walrus Ivory Tusk Grip being made for it and Robert Carter is making the Grip. from this piece for the Pistol. The beauty is that this Tusk was Fosslised so long that thiers actually a Blue color in it that's in there and of course the White which is the Majority of the color the thing is that this Walrus was up there in age cause theres white Rings around the Tusk which tell you it's age. The guy I get the Ivory from has his own web Site his name is Chuck and his Phone # is 1-425-868-5880 he'll be getting some more pieces in soon he Deals with papers of legality for these Tusk's which means that the pieces have to be inspected by the Game Warden up in Alaska and the excavation site shown and proven to be pre 1972, some times they get it from the bottom of the sea or Underneath the Ice never the less it has to be proven that the animal was dead allready and that it died in 1972 or before they have scientific ways that they prove this oh and by the way Mr. Robert Carter from Hogue would not work on the Ivory unless he spoke with Chuck and the proof was established. So it's pretty much a Legal process and one that is nesessary in order to preserve these Animals alive and it gives me a sence of Honor that every precautionary measure is being taken to insure that. With Respect
Pepe

Hey Burgs,

Absolutely I have a picture of it with these stag Grips but I know this is going to look great with the Ivory. you probably think I'm nuts or something but they hold a sentimental value so I just Have to trick them out Man.Here's a picture of the.38 with the stag.

Pepe,

VERY nice! I put a set of stag and a Tyler T Grip adapter on my S&W M-60. It looks really cool.
I with that I could get a set of stag made up with built in finger grips, but I've never seen anything like that. I got my stag from Grashorns - a really nice guy.
